1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of Vaulto, operated by Chrometis OÜ, Ahtri tn 12, 15551 Tallinn, Estonia, registration number 17340556. Contact: vaulto@chrometis.com. By using the app, creating an account, starting a subscription, or continuing to use the app after changes, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

2. Purpose of the App

Vaulto helps users scan, import, organize, search, export, and review receipts and invoices. It includes OCR, QR parsing, AI-assisted extraction, warranty reminders, spending views, subscriptions, cloud features, ads on Free, and optional accountant sharing. It is not accounting, tax, legal, financial, warranty, or professional advice.

3. Your Responsibilities

  • Review and correct OCR, QR, and AI extraction results before relying on them.
  • Keep and present original receipts, invoices, and proof of purchase whenever requested by stores, tax authorities, government bodies, warranty providers, employers, accountants, courts, regulators, or law.
  • Ensure your use complies with applicable law and accounting, tax, employment, or business obligations.
  • Keep login credentials secure and ensure you have the right to upload, process, share, or export documents.
  • Ensure documents, tax identifiers, accountant invitations, exports, and subscription activity are accurate, lawful, and not misleading.

4. Accuracy and Availability

OCR, QR, AI extraction, duplicate detection, category suggestions, warranty dates, analytics, spending totals, and reminders are best-effort features and may contain errors, omissions, or delays. Cloud sync, OCR, ads, purchases, notifications, account deletion, and subscription verification depend on third-party services and connectivity. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

5. Accounts and Data

Some features require an account. Guest or local-only use may have limited functionality and may not provide cloud backup. You can request account deletion in app Settings or at delete-account.html. Deleting your Vaulto account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription.

6. Plans, Ads, and Usage Limits

Vaulto may offer Free, Basic, Premium, Pro, or other plans. Features, receipt limits, export detail, cloud storage, OCR access, ads, and fair-use limits may vary by plan, platform, region, and current product configuration. The Free plan may show ads. "Unlimited" or high-volume plans are subject to fair-use, abuse-prevention, technical, and cost-control limits.

7. Subscriptions and Refunds

Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play and automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period, or as otherwise stated by the relevant store. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple or Google account settings. Apple and Google process payments, renewals, taxes, cancellations, and refunds under their own policies.

8. Accountant Sharing

If you enable accountant sharing, you authorize Vaulto to make eligible company documents available to the invited accountant or collaborator on a read-only basis. You are responsible for entering the correct accountant email, company NIF, and tax profile information, and for ensuring you have permission to share those documents.

9. Acceptable Use

You must not use Vaulto for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or misleading activity; upload malware, illegal content, forged invoices, falsified receipts, fraudulent tax records, or documents you are not allowed to process; create or support false warranty claims, fraudulent returns, tax evasion, false accounting, money laundering, chargeback abuse, or other unlawful conduct; bypass plan limits, App Check, subscription verification, rewarded-ad validation, ads, fair-use controls, file limits, rate limits, storage rules, account deletion safeguards, or security protections; reverse engineer, scrape, automate, crawl, probe, attack, overload, benchmark abusively, resell, sublicense, or interfere with the app except where law allows it.

We may monitor and log activity needed to detect abuse and protect the app. We may restrict, suspend, terminate, delete, refuse, or preserve accounts, documents, OCR jobs, rewards, exports, shares, or entitlements if we reasonably believe they violate these Terms, harm the service, create legal risk, or are connected with fraud or abuse. We may preserve and disclose relevant records where necessary for security, dispute handling, legal compliance, app store review, tax or government requests, or enforcement of rights.

10. Intellectual Property and Privacy

Vaulto, its software, design, branding, and content are owned by Chrometis or its licensors. You retain ownership of documents and data you upload, and grant us the rights needed to host, process, analyze, display, export, transmit, and delete that content for app functionality, support, security, and compliance. Use is subject to the Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers and Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vaulto is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties. Chrometis is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost data, tax/accounting consequences, warranty claim denial, or decisions made based on app data. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Vaulto during the 12 months before the claim, or EUR 50 if you paid nothing, except where applicable law requires otherwise. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Chrometis harmless from claims, losses, penalties, costs, and expenses arising from your unlawful use, uploaded documents, false or misleading information, breach of these Terms, or misuse of tax, warranty, accountant sharing, export, subscription, rewards, ads, or OCR features, to the extent permitted by law.

12. Changes, Law, Apple, and Google

We may update the app, plans, features, providers, and these Terms. These Terms are governed by Estonian law unless mandatory consumer protection laws say otherwise. Apple and Google are not responsible for support, maintenance, claims, or warranties for Vaulto. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries where required by Apple's rules.
